An Omni-Glorious Edifice

I wrote a few poems over the winter break, and now I am thinking of posting ’em–no harm no foul, right?

An Omni-Glorious Edifice

A fire so forbidden,
It is hidden within the heart.
One small dart
Of water is quickly evaporated,
And the complicated matter
Of air and earth,
Leave them
With breathless despair.

Thunder tearing through the mind,
Lightning striking thrice,
The billowing anger of the gods
Who were forgotten
By the following nights,
And the whimper of the human.

The human soul
Forges the strongest glow.
Letting go of salvation,
And accept this devastation;
Just withdraw from hope
In rebuilding from ruination.
